BIO Oregano grated Greek

Excellent organic oregano from Macedonia.
It is collected when the plants are ripe and have a sufficient content of essential oils.

Some general information about oregano:
Scientific name Origanum vulgare-hirtum. It is a common species of Oregano, a genus of the Lamiaceae family. It is native to warm-temperate western and southwestern Eurasia and the Mediterranean region.
Its name comes from the Greek ὀριγανον, oregano: Oros "mountain" and ganos (γανοῦσhai) "splendour", the plant that brightens the mountain.

It acts as a stimulant, diaphoretic, antiseptic, expectorant, emmenagogue and phlogistic.

It has antibiotic properties, antioxidant plant, indicated for colds, flu, infected hacks and wounds, tension headaches, tonic for those suffering from anemia, muscular and rheumatic pains.
