Cornflower blue petals

Only petals from flowers of Centaurea cyanus, blue cornflower, commonly known in English as cornflower, in French bluet.

It is an annual flowering plant of the Asteraceae family ( Asteraceae )και προέρχεται από την Ευρώπη.

The flowers are usually a deep blue in color. The blue pigment is called protocyanin, which in roses is red.

Cornflower is useful in indigestion and any condition in which there is sluggish digestion.

It is a bowel softener, laxative and diuretic, it relaxes the eyes and treats red eyelids. The flowers can be used in salads raw or cooked. The blue pigment obtained from the flowers is used to color sugar and sweets.
